About Satta(studio)
Sattastudio Design is the boutique & unique design enterprise run by Melbourne creative Satta van Daal. Originally hailing from Germany, Satta studied design at two of Europe’s most prestigious design schools:
From 1997-2003 he was enrolled at Bauhaus University Weimar (Germany) and in 2001/02 he studied for 8 months at the Design Academy Eindhoven (The Netherlands).
A month after graduating with distinction from Bauhaus University Weimar, Satta set sail for Australia in early 2003. He settled in Melbourne and quickly found himself emerged in the stencil graffiti scene that was on the rise to global fame at the time. Together with his mate JD Mittmann and the local street art scene Satta co-founded the Melbourne Stencil Festival in 2004 and co-directed the annual event until 2007, including touring the show across the country.
Satta moved on to work a couple of years for a Melbourne design agency, where he was providing print and web designs for clients ranging from not-for-profit organisations to top tier corporations.
Satta officially set up Sattastudio Design in Australia in 2009 and has worked for an array of clients from various industries since then. Sattastudio combines a broad spectrum of multi-disciplinary services ranging from Corporate Identities to Art Workshops or Book & Brochure Publications to Event Production & Management … and much more in-between and beyond.
